At Capilano Cycle, we're a family-run bike service & repair shop all about community, bikes, and good times. We're passionate about cycling and dedicated to providing top-notch service with a personal touch.
Our crew includes Luka, who's studying Engineering at the University of Alberta, and Josef, who's graduating high school this year. Together, we're committed to getting you back on the road or trail with affordable and reliable bike services.

Service details - $95
This service begins with a soapy wash, followed by:
Degreasing the drive train, including chain, cassette, and chain ring
Hand polishing the frame, wheels and component parts
Inspecting for worn out and damaged parts
Adjusting brakes, derailleur, and component parts
Minor wheel truing
Note: Extra charge may be added to excessively dirty, greasy, grimy, grungy bikes.
Parts Replacement

Service details - $50/hour + price of parts
This service replaces worn out and damaged parts. Includes:
Drivetrain - Chain, Cassette, Chain Ring, Derailleur
Cabling - Brake / Derailleur Cables and Housings
Brakes - Brake Pads, Cabling, Housing, and Levers
Wheels - Tubes, Tires, Rims
Note: The hourly rate at our shop is $50, service rate is determined based on that hourly rate using a prorated method.

Service details - $50/hour + price of parts
Braking
Brake adjustments (disk & rim brakes)
Brake cable / housing replacement

This service covers a majority of wheel-related issues, such as:
Wheel truing and tensioning
Spoke replacement
Hub inspection & repair (axel, bearings, lubrication)
Most other wheel-related issues

Bike Assembly

Service details - $110
When your bike arrives in a box. This service includes:
A thorough check of all components to ensure proper fit and function.
Attach and adjust the handlebars, seat, pedals, and wheels
Properly tension and align the derailleurs and brakes
Ensure all bolts and fasteners are tightened to the proper torque specifications

Service details - $65
This service is designed to make sure your bike is safe and comfortable to ride. Includes:
Tires are inflated appropriately
Test brakes for stopping, ensure brake pads are not worn out
Pedals and crank arms have smooth rotation
Seat height and angle are correct and secure
Wheels are aligned, tighten quick-release axels, check for wobble or rubbing
Handlebars and levers are secure
The chain shifts correctly when changing gears
Clean and lubricate chain

Service details - Service details - $65
This service is designed to make sure your e-bike is safe and comfortable to ride. Includes:
Tires are inflated appropriately
Test brakes for stopping, ensure brake pads are not worn out
Pedals and crank arms have smooth rotation
Seat height and angle are correct and secure
Wheels are aligned, tighten quick-release axels, check for wobble or rubbing
Handlebars and levers are secure
The chain shifts correctly when changing gears
Clean and lubricate chain
Test ride
Additionally: Helping troubleshoot issues with the electric motor, battery, cabling, and other components

Service details - $50/hour + price of parts
In addition to services listed above, this service includes:
Tire swap (summer to winter tires)
Handle bar grips and tape
Cargo rack / basket installation
Headlamp installation
Most other accessories
